What is this movie called about a girl pretending to be a boy in a foreign country (not Mulan!)?

remember watching this movie about a little girl in either iran or Afghanistan. and she all i remember is she had to cut her hair and dress like a boy to work for her family. and they showed scenes where she would jump-rope by herself. i watched The Stoning of Soraya M. today and i remembered that movie but now its buggin me that i don't remember what its called!i think i watched it like somewhere between 2002 and 2004 cuz my sister had to watch for some cl she was taking. and now i remember the movie ending with the girl jumproping in like a jail cell looking thing. i don't think its the breadwinner but i could be wrong.
