A Place Called Here by Cecelia Ahern readers?

Alright, so I read this book a while back but unfortunately it's gone missing from my other books. Recently something mentioned in it has been plaguing my mind and I wondered if anyone knew. There's a bit where Sandy (FMC) is talking to her psychiatrist, I think possibly when she was younger rather than older (although I may be wrong) and he compares her to this mythological woman who lives on a mountain and protects her heart by making men p three tests before allowing them to step onto her mountain (or along those lines). I wondered if anyone knew the name of the woman or if the myth is a real one or made up for the purposes of this story. Cheers.
