Was Obama's Annenberg Project Successful?

Putting aside the fact that he worked closely with domestic terrorist William Ayers on this Annenberg School Reform Project, I've yet to hear anything positive about this project from mainstream media news outlets. Only this week, the NY Post has been reporting that ultimately, the project was a waste of taxpayer money. Some of the programs that were funded included Afro-Centric studies programs and programs that had very little to do with your basic reading, writing and arithmetic...you know...things that would actually help Chicago's impoverished school districts. I was just wondering if there's any hard news out there that would shed some light on what Obama actually accomplished with this project.
