How to take stud earrings off?

my ears get infeccted really bad if i use anything other than the ones they peirce your ears with. i bought three pairs of the peircing earrings and asked if they were the backs that were hard to get off and they said no. they were lying. i have one pair in now and i cant get them out. i want to get them out without ruining the earrings cause they were 30 bucks a peice. they are the erfly backs is there anyway to get them off. also im going to use other backs next time i wear them.
